The director of the research group on porous solids and calorimetry, Professor Juan Carlos Moreno-Piraján (UNIANDES), has led the group since 1995 with Professors Liliana Giraldo and Fernando Gomez (UNAL).

Currently, the group has 9 Ph.D. or Dr. Sci. 

We have 2 postdoctoral researchers at the Universidad de los Andes and 1 at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The other 3 are professors from National Universities (America, Tolima and Caldas), and the rest are recent graduates.

We have networks with national and international professors and researchers to collaborate in some of our investigations. We beleive that cross-functional work between science researchers is vital for innovation and knowledge expansion. Networking and interpersonal skills are powerfull and fundamental tools for career growth and success, so we motivate our researches to establish profesional relationships.

Some of our postgraduate student and postdoctoral researchers have made international internships with our colleagues, as well as we have recieved some researchers from other universtities in our lab.
