Calorimetry is the science of heat transfer that allows us to measure thermal effect of different types of interactions and processes. Our principal interest is to apply calorimetry in different systems to study adsorbent-adsorbate interactions, solvent-adsorbent interactions, porosity, surface area, immersion enthalpies, hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity, among others.
In our lab we have different types of calorimeters such as Calvet type calorimeter, adsorption calorimeter, differential scanning calorimeter.
