Gas adsorption

We carry out the adsorption of gases such as Nitrogen at 77 K and carbon dioxide at 273 K in porous materials such as activated carbon (from different lignocellulosic materials), metal-organic frameworks (MOF), Santa Barbara Amorphous-15 (SBA-15) and Mesostructured carbonaceous materials. Usually, we use the adsorption of these gases as a characterization technique. Soon, We will have equipment for the adsorption of gases at high pressures.

Preparation of activated carbon from cashew shell (Anacardium occidentale) by chemical activation with different activating agents. Determination of N2, CO2, CH4 and H2 adsorption isotherms.
